Adinath Kothare humbly accepted The 66th National Film Awards for the ‘Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation award’ for his directorial debut ‘Paani’, yesterday. The award ceremony happened at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan and was handed over by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.
Adinath’s wife Urmila Kothare was amongst the audience to cheer her husband during the award ceremony with Adinath’s father Mahesh Kothare. Post the award ceremony, Urmila Kothare took it to Instagram to share the moments of happiness with fans!

This was a moment of pride that belongs to all those who are struggling with the water crisis in India. This film is co-produced by Priyanka Chopra under Purple Pebble creations. ‘Paani’ is a story that revolves around a man living in a village named Nagdarwadi, Maharashtra, a drought-prone Marathwada region. How the protagonist struggles with water shortage and suffers from the lack of sufficient infrastructure, is accurately depicted in the film.
'Paani' featuring stars Adinath Kothare, Subodh Bhave, Rucha Vaidya, Kishor Kadam, and Rajit Kapoor, etc is all set to make a blockbuster release in 2020 after being recognized worldwide for its excellence, ‘Paani’ is expected to rock box office next year!
